About AFBT
We are a local charity that applies the funds received from the lease of the Old Ascot Fire Station for any purpose that is to the benefit of the residents of Ascot and surrounding SL5 area.
We focus on hardship relief, support for the elderly, assistance for those with medical needs not met by the relevant health or social authority and supporting local groups, recreational and educational bodies.
For more than 40 years we’ve supported numerous community requests for financial support. These include The Thames Valley Hospice, Charters School Sports Bursaries, several Primary Schools, The Ascot Project, Citizens Advice, DASH, local sports clubs (football and cricket) and various different local Guide and Scout projects.
During the pandemic we collaborated with other local charities to support the provision of laptops for our local primary schools. We’ve also supported many individuals with challenging personal circumstances or financial difficulties who need a helping hand.

Ascot Heath Primary Sensory Room
The introduction of our sensory room, The Lighthouse, has had a wonderful impact on the children of Ascot Heath Primary School. This special space is adored by all, offering a place where children can find calm, regulate their emotions and feel truly happy. The benefits of this calm and focused environment ripple into the classroom, supporting children to engage fully and do their best learning. This incredible impact would not have been possible without the generous support of the Ascot Fire Brigade Trust and we are incredibly grateful for their help in making The Lighthouse a reality.
